About this Programme

The BSc Hons Computing Systems course acknowledges that software development skills need to be enhanced by people and process related skills. As a consequence, people, process and professional experience are essential topics within the course modules and require the creation of a wide base of skills applicable to a software engineer. Throughout recent years, the field of computer science has concentrated on security and the role of artificial intelligence throughout society, all of which feature in the programme.

Why study this Programme

The general objective of the course is to provide a broad-based education in computer systems that will allow students to apply a systematic approach in software engineering to the implementation of a wide variety of information technology. This will allow graduates to start a professional career in computing with unique vocational skills related to the needs of the local industry. The course will also help meet the industry’s current shortage of high-quality computer graduates, especially those with software development skills.
